Chris and Samantha have been serving with Life Giving Water International (LGWI) in Ecuador since 2017. Chris, a Civil Engineer with a Master’s Degree in Water Resources from UCLA, designs water systems that bring clean, reliable water access to rural communities. As LGWI’s Field Representative, Chris works closely with CODEINSE, LGWI’s partner ministry, contributing engineering expertise to water projects, leading ministry teams, and maintaining donor communications. Samantha leads Health and Hygiene classes in the communities, connecting clean water with essential health education for lasting impact. She also runs a homeschool meet-up, supporting local families who have courageously chosen homeschooling in a region where it’s still a new concept, while homeschooling their four children herself and fostering a love of learning. They make their home in Chimborazo province, where they spend family time exploring Ecuador’s beautiful landscapes through hiking, camping, and gardening, always finding new ways to enjoy God’s creation together.
