Chris is a Civil Engineer and has been serving as the Field Representative for Life Giving Water International (LGWI) in Ecuador since 2017. With a Master’s in Civil Engineering (Water Resources emphasis) from UCLA and a Bachelor’s from Cal Poly Pomona, Chris brings extensive experience to his role. Prior to moving to Ecuador, he worked in Land Development in Southern California and in the Engineering Design Department at the Port of Long Beach, primarily focusing on roadway design, hydrology, and hydraulics.
Chris has always sensed a calling to use his engineering skills to serve God’s Kingdom. Driven by this conviction, he went on numerous short-term mission trips, praying for God’s guidance about how to make a lasting impact. When God opened the door to serve full-time in Ecuador, Chris, along with his wife Samantha and their four children, answered the call to relocate. Now, as LGWI’s Field Representative, Chris works closely with CODEINSE, LGWI’s partner ministry in Ecuador, working on engineering designs for water systems, leading ministry teams, and communicating with donors. Chris and Samantha make their home in Chimborazo province, where they love exploring the beautiful landscapes of Ecuador with their children. Whether hiking, camping, or gardening, they love finding new ways to enjoy the beauty of god’s creation as a family.
